If there is a septic system on your property, a large part of being an owner is ensuring regular maintenance. Would you ever think about skipping an oil change or another standard maintenance procedure on your favorite car? Of course not – the same courtesy should be given to your septic tank. Luckily for you, there is no need to get your hands dirty with the process. Sewer & Drain Medic can handle every maintenance need for septic systems on your property here in and around Jacksonville, North Carolina.
When it comes to septic maintenance, one of the most important procedures is pumping the tank, which involves using a specialized truck to extract all of the solid waste that has built up inside. By getting your tank pumped, you can eliminate risk of damage or sewage back up, both of which are a serious threat to your property. In addition, skipping this step on your regular maintenance schedule could lead to premature tank failure, resulting in a very expensive problem. Sludge builds up on the bottom of your tank and needs to be removed, which is why our experts recommend a pumping schedule based on the size of your tank and how many people are using it.
Another essential procedure for regular septic maintenance is inspection. Our technicians can come to your home once a year and check that everything is working properly. If anything is found to be malfunctioning, we can either repair the issue or go over your options with you, so that you are not caught with a broken system when the time comes to actually use it.
