Here at Sewer & Drain Medic, we want to help you keep your septic system in good working order. We know from experience just how unpleasant it is to have to deal with a septic malfunction, and we want to help you avoid that situation if we can. In order to do that, we have put together this article to go over a few common signs that indicate something is wrong with your system.
If you notice any of the following things happening in your home, call our team right away to arrange for septic repair before the issue gets worse:
- Backups- One common sign that you need septic repair is sewage backing up into your home. If sludge starts coming up through your drains, there is definitely a problem with your septic system, and you should have it looked at as soon as possible.
- Slow Drains- Another thing that we see a lot in homes with septic problems is slow drains and toilets. If it’s taking your sink, shower, or toilet a long time to drain away, then you probably need septic repair. This issue is typically caused by a lack of space inside the tank or a blockage in the connecting lines.
- Standing Water- A third indicator that you need septic repair can be found not in your home, but rather out in your yard. Specifically, if you notice that there are puddles of water on your lawn on days when it hasn’t rained, then your system most likely has a leak.
